City Planning denied 7-Eleven's request for 24 hours of operation but approved them for 6am-2am, upheld their claim that they do not need to provide a traffic study, & approved all their requested CEQA exemptions–even those for which they do not qualify.

City Planning may have failed to see the danger this development poses to our community, but we do. We've hired an attorney to support us in appealing the City's decision & demanding that 7-Eleven provide comprehensive environmental & traffic impact reports before they take another step.

Fighting a giant corporation doesn't come cheap, so we've setup a GoFundMe to help raise funds to cover our legal retainer & beginning the process of appeal. The starting fee for our counsel & to begin the appeal process, including getting expert opposition to the CEQA guideline exemption, is $5000. After that point we expect to incur additional legal fees for obtaining expert documentation to demand that a traffic impact report be performed & to oppose this community killer at every turn. We will regularly update this page with information on the legal proceedings so community members can stay informed.

Any support you are able to provide will be greatly appreciated & will aid a small community group in fighting a multi-national corporation.
